The Diary of a Muslim

About

Welcome to my journey toward financial freedom. My name is Shazz, and I've created this space to share my experiences, challenges, and insights as I work to overcome significant debt and rebuild my financial future.

My story began when I made the decision to pursue higher education in the UK, a choice that left me with substantial debt—around €70,000 in total. While my time in England brought many valuable experiences and personal growth, it also led me to confront the reality of living with debt.

Over the years, my faith has played a crucial role in shaping my approach to finance. I've come to realize the importance of making decisions that align with my values, particularly when it comes to avoiding interest-based loans. However, like many others, I learned this lesson the hard way. Now, I'm focused on correcting my past mistakes and finding halal, responsible ways to clear my debt.

This website is a reflection of my journey—a place where I document the steps I'm taking to achieve financial freedom while staying true to my beliefs. My hope is that by sharing my story, I can help others who are facing similar challenges. Whether you're struggling with debt, looking for financial advice, or simply interested in learning from my experiences, I invite you to join me as we navigate this journey together.

Thank you for being here, and I look forward to connecting with you.
